At a time when Ukraine lives under the constant threat of total blackout due to ongoing shelling and the destruction of energy infrastructure, medical institutions operate with additional risks. For patients in intensive care units, operating rooms, or connected to critically important equipment, uninterrupted power supply is a matter of life and death.
Sweden continues to provide consistent support to the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt”.
This time, the hospital received 37 charging stations from EcoFlow with a total value of UAH 3.3 million. This equipment will ensure uninterrupted power supply for life-saving medical devices, enable departments to operate steadily even during power outages, and strengthen the hospital’s energy resilience.
This support is especially important for our hospital. Every day, hundreds of children from all over Ukraine receive treatment here — premature newborns, children with severe injuries, oncological diseases and other complex conditions. Many of them depend on equipment that cannot stop even for a minute. Each charging station provides additional safety for young patients and confidence for doctors that treatment will continue under any circumstances.
Funds for the charging stations were оперативно raised by the organization Beredskapslyftet with the support of the media outlet Dagens industri and transferred within the #KeepUkraineWarm campaign initiated by Embassy of Ukraine in Sweden / Посольство України в Швеції to help Ukrainians get through the difficult winter period.
We sincerely thank Fredrik Hillelson, head of Beredskapslyftet, for his leadership and continued support for Ukraine.
Special thanks to the citizens of Sweden who, within the #KeepUkraineWarm campaign, continue to support Ukraine through contributions for critical energy needs. This assistance is more than just equipment. It guarantees continuity of treatment for children, stable operation of hospital departments, and additional safety for our patients who fight for their lives every day.
Thank you for your solidarity and support for Ukraine during this difficult time.
